The Remembrance Project is an anti-illegal immigration non-profit organization in the United States based in Houston, Texas. In particular, it keeps a list of United States citizens killed by illegal aliens on U.S. soil. It was praised by President Donald Trump. The Remembrance Project was started to educate and raise awareness of the epidemic of killings of Americans by individuals who should not have been in the country in the first place. Americans must come first in order to stop the permanent separation of families.[1]

History

The Remembrance Project was founded in 2009 by conservative anti-illegal immigration activist Maria Espinoza. After seeing a sharp increase of police officers being murdered by illegal aliens in Houston, TX Maria started The Remembrance Project to grow awareness and stop the killings.[1]

During the 2016 United States presidential election, members of the Remembrance Project joined candidate Donald Trump at rallies.[2][3] On January 25, 2017, President Trump thanked the organization for their good work.[3] The "Angel Moms", "Angel Dads", spouses and other family members who lost loved ones to illegal alien crime travel across the country with Maria Espinoza and the "Stolen Lives Quilt" to educate the country on the impact of illegal alien crime.
