The Ray mine is a large copper mine located in Arizona, in the southwestern part of the United States, currently owned by Asarco. Ray represents one of the largest copper reserves in the United States and in the world, having estimated reserves of 1 billion tonnes of ore grading 0.5% copper in 1998.[1] It is located in Pinal County, near the town of Kearny.
