Ravi Basrur is an Indian film composer and director who made his debut in the film industry in 2014 by scoring the Kannada film Ugramm.[1][2] Following his debut, Basrur composed music [3][4] for films such as Ekka Saka (2015), Just Maduveli (2015),[5] and Karvva (2016).[6][7]

Basrur's first release as a music director was Ugramm (2014), for which he won the Zee Music Award and the KIMA International Award for Best Background Score.[8] He was also nominated for a Filmfare Awards South[9][10][11] award for Best Music Director for this film.

Basrur directed the films Gargar Mandala (2014)[12][13] and Bilinder (2016)[14] in local languages.
