Rambantu (English: Henchman of Rama -"Hanuman") is a 1996 Telugu drama film produced by M.Chitti Babu, G.Gnaram Harish on Vijaya Chamundeswari Movies banner, presented by Rajendra Prasad and directed by Bapu.[2] Starring Rajendra Prasad, Eswari Rao in the lead roles and music composed by.[3] The film recorded as flop at box office.[4]
Plot
Rambantu (Rajendra Prasad) is a village boy who saves a Raja family from trouble which brings him up after his father sacrifices his life for the Raja Ramachandra Prasad (Satyanarayana). So Raja brings up Prasad who grows up to be an intelligent illiterate with powers to heal wounds and treat diseases. Meanwhile Gireesam (Kota Srinivasa Rao) enters the Raja house and mesmerises them to take charge of the family wealth and Gireesam hatches a plot and sends Rambantu away from the home after he gets married to Kaveri (Eswari Rao) the elder daughter of the Raja. Rambantu migrates to Hyderabad along with his wife and starts a small business and then becomes a millionaire with his talent. The ending is how Rambantu comes to the rescue of the Raja family from the clutches of Gireesam.
