Controversy

During the filming process, actress Avantika Shetty posted on her social networking page about the ill-treatment received while filming and lashed out at the makers demanding justice. In her post, expressing concern about the safety of the women actresses, she alleged that she was subjected to unfair treatment by the filmmakers and particularly targeted the producer K. A. Suresh accusing him of dropping her from the project without paying her.[7] She further approached the court insisting that she would dub for film herself and the makers should not be allowed to employ others to dub for her role. In return, producer Suresh filed a complaint with the Karnataka Film Chamber against the actress and requested the guilty has to be punished. He further wrote in the complaint about the actress's unprofessional and non-cooperative behavior during the filming.[8] The chamber president Sa. Ra. Govindu called on the actress to attend the meeting convened to solve the issue between her and the makers. Further on 17 June 2017, a press release reported that all the issues have been sorted out at both the ends and the actress has withdrawn her case against the makers and she would continue to act, dub and promote the film.[9]
