Raag Desh is an Indian Film Directed by National Award winning Director Tigmanshu Dhulia and Produced by Gurdeep Singh Sappal & RSTV.[2] [3][4] The film is based on Indian National Army trials, the joint court martial of Indian National Army officers Colonel Prem Sehgal, Colonel Gurbaksh Singh Dhillon, Major Shah Nawaz Khan.[5] Mohit Marwah, Amit Sadh and Kunal Kapoor respectively, have played the lead roles in the film.[3][4] Rishi Punjabi is the cinematographer of the film. The film was released on July 28, 2017[1]
Plot
The film is a period drama, based on the Indian National Army set up by Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose and the war to liberate India from the British Government which was fought on the shores of the Irrawaddy in Burma.
The British Government called the soldiers of the INA "renegades and japanese stooges", and a trial was held at the Red Fort in Delhi, which was called the Red Fort Trials of 1945. Raag Desh brings to life that epic trial which paved the way for India's freedom.

Production
The first schedule was shot in Mumbai in the month of July 2016 and the Red fort trial court room set was erected. The second extensive schedule was canned in Nov and Dec 2016 in Dehradun, Uttarakhand. where the war zone terrain in Burma was set up and also Delhi where shooting took place in Saleemgarh area inside Redfort where the INA soldiers were held captive. Shooting also took place in areas around Chandni Chowk. The third and final schedule shot from 16 April 2017 in Mumbai again.

The film was released on July 28.[6]
Filming
The entire film has been shot on a dual camera using Anamorphic lenses to give a special look to it.
Facts
All vignettes, facts and figures have been used after months of thorough research. Surviving war heroes, their family members, books of research, archives and war memorial data was consulted to write the script. A team of researchers worked for almost one year to gather all the information before the actual writing process started.
