36 Engineer Regiment is a Royal Engineers regiment in the British Army that was formed in 1949.
Structure
The regiment consists of five squadrons:[1]
- 50 Headquarters & Support Squadron.
- 20 Field Squadron.
- 69 Gurkha Field Squadron.
- 70 Gurkha Field Squadron
- 61 Field Support Squadron
History
The regiment was re-roled to a search regiment during 2008/09.[2] The regiment was re-roled to a Force Support Engineer regiment in 2016.
