Qarah Zia od Din (Persian: قره ضياڈالدين; also Romanized as Qarah Ẕīā' od Dīn, Qareh Zeyā ed Dīn, Qareh Ẕīā' od Dīn, and Qareh Zīyā ’Eddīn; also known as Ghareh Ziya’ Oddin, Qaraziadin and Qara Zīa ud Dīn)[1] is a city in and the capital of Chaypareh County, West Azerbaijan Province, Iran. It lies in the northern part of the county, 39 kilometres (24 mi) from Khoy. At the 2006 census, its population was 22,489, in 5,558 families.[2]
