Caligo beltrao, the purple owl, is a butterfly of the Nymphalidae family. The species can be found in Brazil.[1]
The wingspan is about 120 mm.
The larvae feed on Canna indica, Calathea zebrina, Musa species, and Hedychium coronarium.
