Ptilobactrum is a genus of hoverflies, with two known species. They have very broad heads and their basoflagellomeres are elongate and densely pilose in males.[1]
Biology
Larvae feed as scavengers in the nest of the ants.
Distribution
They are native to African tropics.[1]
