Background

Dumpin Era (1999–2000)

Psychopathic Rydas was created as a retaliation to the critics saying Psychopathic Records artists were "wannabe rappers". In the linear notes of The Amazing Jeckel Brothers fans could find out how to send proof of purchase to Psychopathic Records to get a full-length album titled Dumpin', by a "gangsta rap spoof" group called Psychopathic Rydas, featuring: Insane Clown Posse members Violent J as Bullet, Shaggy 2 Dope as Full Clip, Twiztid members Jamie Madrox as Lil Shank, Monoxide Child as Foe Foe, Blaze Ya Dead Homie as Cell Block, and Myzery as Twin Gatz and was released on Joe & Joey Records.

Ryden Dirtay Era (2001–2003)

After the release of Dumpin' Myzery (Twin Gatz) had a falling out between Blaze Ya Dead Homie (Cell Block) and Twiztid (Monoxide ChildFoe Foe, and Jamie MadroxLil Shank) and left Psychopathic Records and leaving Psychopathic Rydas, and no longer doing Twin Gatz. At the 2001 GOTJ, Psychopathic Rydas released their second full-length album titled Ryden Dirtay, and their first EP titled The Rydas EP. Ryden Dirtay charted at number 46 on the Independent Chart, and is mostly revered as their best album among the fan base. The album featured the lineup of: Violent J as Bullet, Shaggy 2 Dope as Full Clip, Jamie Madrox as Lil Shank, Monoxide Child as Foe Foe and Blaze Ya Dead Homie as Cell Block and was released on Joe & Joey Records.

In 2001 Anybody Killa joined Psychopathic Records, created Drive-By with fellow Psychopathic Rydas and Psychopathic Records artist Blaze Ya Dead Homie (Cell Block), joined Dark Lotus, and joining Psychopathic Rydas under the name Sawed Off, but was not on Ryden Dirtay. In 2002 Esham joined Psychopathic Records forming the group Soopa Villainz with Violent J (Bullet), Shaggy 2 Dope (Full Clip) and Lavel , and joined Psychopathic Rydas under the name Converse. At the 2004 GOTJ Psychopathic Rydas released their third full-length album titled Check Your Shit In Bitch!, and their second EP titled Limited Edition EP. Duk Da Fuk Down Era (2007–2010)

In 2005, Esham (Converse) had a falling out with label mates, and left Psychopathic Records, and Psychopathic Rydas retiring the Converse name. In 2006 Anybody Killa (Sawed Off) left Psychopathic Records (leaving Dark Lotus), and left Psychopathic Rydas retiring the Sawed Off name. In 2005 Psychopathic Records signed new artist Boondox, who released his debut album The Harvest, and was announced at the 2006 GOTJ that Boondox has joined Psychopathic Rydas under the name Yung Dirt. The album featured the lineup of: Violent J as Bullet, Shaggy 2 Dope as Full Clip, Jamie Madrox as Lil Shank, Monoxide Child as Foe Foe, Blaze Ya Dead Homie as Cell Block and Boondox as Yung Dirt and was released on Joe & Joey Records.

EatShitNDie Era (2011–present)

In 2008 Anybody Killa (Sawed Off) returned to Psychopathic Records and Psychopathic Rydas, but not Dark Lotus. At the 2011 GOTJ Psychopathic Rydas released their fifth full-length album titled EatShitNDie, and their third EP titled Backdoor Rydas EP. The album featured the lineup of: Violent J as Bullet, Shaggy 2 Dope as Full Clip, Jamie Madrox as Lil Shank, Monoxide Child as Foe Foe, Blaze Ya Dead Homie as Cell Block, Anybody Killa as Sawed Off and Boondox as Yung Dirt and was released on Joe & Joey Records.

At the 2013 GOTJ it was announced that Blaze Ya Dead Homie (Cell Block) left Psychopathic Records and joined Twiztid's label Majik Ninja Entertainment, but did not leave Psychopathic Rydas. At the same time it was announced that Boondox (Yung Dirt) had returned to Psychopathic Records and returned to Psychopathic Rydas. In May 2015 Boondox (Yung Dirt) had put in to get out of his contract with Psychopathic Records and it was made official at the 2015 GOTJ.

At the 2015 GOTJ Violent J (Bullet) said a new Psychopathic Rydas album could be out at the 2016 GOTJ.

Music and Style

Psychopathic Rydas was formed in retaliation to the critics saying Psychopathic Records artists are wannabe gangster rappers. Psychopathic Rydas takes the music and beats from popular (mainstream) artists and songs, writes their verses and sell the albums without paying royalties.

Extra

Neme Encarnacion aka Myzery (Twin Gats) was on the album Dumpin' in 1999. Esham Attica Smith aka Esham (Converse) was on the albums Check Your Shit in Bitch! and Limited Edition EP in 2004. David Hutto aka Boondox (Yung Dirt) was on the albums Duk Da Fuk Down, EatShitNDie, and Backdoor Ryda EP from 2007 to 2011.

Psychopathic Rydas reuses the beats of popular rappers within the genre without paying to license the original songs or requesting permission from copyright owners to use the music, effectively making their albums bootlegs[4] and resulting in the releases becoming difficult to find in some markets.[1] Psychopathic Rydas' debut album, Dumpin', was originally given away for correctly answering a series of trivia questions printed in the liner notes of Insane Clown Posse's album, The Amazing Jeckel Brothers.[4] Although Twiztid and Blaze Ya Dead Homie left Psychopathic Records, they are still members of the Rydas group.
