Pseudoastygarctus (Pronunciation: PSEHOO-do-stih-GAR-ktoos) is a genus of tardigrades in the family Stygarctidae. Its etymology is Greek (ψευδοστυγάρκτος) meaning fake Styx bears as its species rarely resembles that of Stygarctus. Along with Megastygarctides, the genus was named by McKirdy, Schmidt & McGinty-Bayly in 1976.
