Prudential Assurance Company Singapore is an indirect wholly owned subsidiary of UK-based Prudential Plc. It provides financial solutions to customers through a multi-channel distribution network, with product offerings in protection, savings and investment. It has S$31.5 billion funds under management as at 31 December 2016. [4]

History

Prudential was founded as The Prudential Investment, Loan and Assurance Association in 1848 in London, United Kingdom.[5]

Prudential Singapore started out as an agent for fire insurance in 1924 before it attained full branch status and began operations as the Prudential Assurance Company from 1931.[6]

In 2014, Prudential Singapore was awarded an AA Financial Strength Rating by leading credit rating agency Standard & Poor’s. [7]
