project baikal is a Russian journal that focusses on architecture, urbanism, design, heritage and landscape. The journal publishes the works by prominent architects from Russia's Asian-Pacific region and leading experts from Europe and around the world.
The journal is distributed among architects and urbanists who perform scientific research and practice, among the administration of the Russian Academy of Architecture and Construction Sciences, universities, governmental, business, architectural and construction organizations of Irkutsk, Eastern Siberia, Siberian Federal District, among regional organizations of the Union of Architects of Russia and several foreign branches of the International Union of Architects.[1]
project baikal is also distributed among prominent figures both in Russia and abroad, and is sold retail.
History
2016 Project Baikal applied to be included in the Russian Science Citation Index
2016 Project Baikal is now included in JournalTOCs, a Current Awareness Service (CAS).
2016 Project Baikal successfully registered as a SHERPA/RoMEO[2] green journal.
2015 Project Baikal completed the required reapplication to the DOAJ in time.
2014 Implemented Digital Object Identifiers or DOIs.
2014 Project Baikal is added to Avery Index to Architectural Periodicals, that is home to the Avery Architectural and Fine Arts Library in New York.
2013 Project Baikal is included in the Directory of Open Access Journals.[3]
2013 Project Baikal goes online with issue 36 [4] using Open Journal Systems and effectively becomes an open access journal.
2009 Project Baikal receives the Gold Medal INTERARCH-2009 in “Periodicals” category at the triennial of the International Academy of Architecture.
2008 Project Baikal is awarded the prize as “the Best Regional Journal of Russia” at the XVI International Festival “Zodchestvo 2008” held in Moscow.
2004 The architectural information analysis journal “Project Baikal” of Siberian Federal District enters the mass media market.[5]
