Progress in Energy and Combustion Science is an international review journal, first published in 1975. It publishes review articles on all aspects of Energy and Combustion science, providing a comprehensive in-depth overview of a particular topic. The journal is typically issued six times per year by Elsevier and all contributions are made by invitation of the chief editors. The founding editor is Norman Chigier[1] (Carnegie Mellon University). The current editors-in-chief are Hai Wang[2] (Stanford University) and Christof Schulz[3] (University of Duisburg-Essen). According to the Journal Citation Reports, the journal has a 2015 impact factor of 16.784.[4]
