Prinsesa ng Buhay Ko or My Girl (international title) is a Filipino drama and a royalty series broadcast by GMA Network starring Kris Bernal, Aljur Abrenica, LJ Reyes, and Renz Fernandez. It is set to premiere on September 23, 2013 replacing Binoy Henyo and on the network's GMA Telebabad block and worldwide via GMA Pinoy TV on September 24, 2013. The series finale on January 24, 2014 on its 18-week run with the total of 90 episodes overall it set to be replaced by Paraiso Ko'y Ikaw on its timeslot.[1][2][3][4][5][6]
Overview
Prinsesa ng Buhay Ko tells the story of Princess, a hardworking young woman who was orphaned at a young age. Despite being raised in a foster home, Princess is strong-willed who possesses a big heart and an independent spirit.
In the orphanage, Princess will meet Nick, who often becomes the subject of bullying among the kids. Princess will become Nick’s defender from these bullies and eventually, they will become close friends.
Princess and Nick’s friendship ends when Nick’s father Roberto arrives to take him away. Nick is left with no choice but to go with Roberto after learning that his mother Tess abandoned him completely and sold him to his father.
After many years, Princess left the orphanage and is now a vendor in a flea market. One day, she witnesses a crime and tries to save a man from being kidnapped. Little did she know that this man is no less than Luis, the rich son of Roberto Grande.
Because of her heroic act, Princess’ catches the attention not only of Luis but also the public, the media and even the TV networks. She will soon become very popular and Princess is now living the charmed life she always dreamed of.
Things get complicated when Nick and Princess’ paths cross again. Princess discovers that Nick is her long lost friend in the orphanage and worse, he is Luis’ stepbrother.
How will this revelation affect Princess’ relationship with the two brothers? Will Nick and Princess take their friendship to the next level or will Nick give way to his brother Luis? Who will win Princess’ heart? Luis or Nick?
