Pride Glasgow

Pride Glasgow is an annual lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) pride festival held in Glasgow, Scotland. It is the largest Pride Festival held in Scotland. Typically around 5,000 people take part in the parade element of Glasgow Pride each year, with around 50,000 attending in total.[1]

History

Pride Glasgow was established in 2004 as Pride Scotia (Glasgow). It became a charity in 2012 and has run annually from this time.[2]

Pride Glasgow 2017

Pride Glasgow 2017 will take place on the 19th and 20th August 2017 at Glasgow Green.[3] The event will feature the Pride Glasgow Arena which is the main outdoor stage for Pride Glasgow. The current 2017 line up includes: B*Witched, Saara Aalto and Kelly Llorenna, with more still to be announced. The festival areas will include a community expo, pride market, family area, youth space, VIP area, dog show, fairground, food village and bars.[4]
