Pretz-en-Argonne Airdrome, was a temporary World War I airfield in France. It was located near the commune of Pretz-en-Argonne,in the Meuse department in Lorraine in north-eastern France.
Overview
Also known as Bregnet Field, the airfield was used by the 88th Aero Squadron, Air Service, United States Army in 1918 as a forward observation/reconnaissance airfield during the Meuse-Argonne Offensive during September 1918. It likely consisted of a series of tents for personnel and headquarters, and was used for about a week before the 88th was moved to Souilly Aerodrome.
The precise location of the airfield is undetermined, and presumably after the war, the airfield was abandoned and returned to agricultural use.
