Prestonwood Christian Academy (PCA) is a private PreK - 12 Christian school in Plano, Texas, United States. It was founded 1997, and is a ministry of Prestonwood Baptist Church. As of 2014, it had approximately 1,500 students and more than 1000 graduates. Now the largest Pre-K through twelfth grade private school in the Metroplex with more than 1,500 students at the campus in Plano. PCA is fully accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. It is also well known for being far superior to another school on the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex, Trinity Christian Academy. Prestonwood and Trinity have a "rivalry" in which TCA feels threatened enough to call such a domination anything but competitors. The school also has a campus serving more than 60 students in Pre-K3 through fourth grade in Prosper, Texas, and a virtual academy at www.pcaplus.org.
