Praween Khatiwada (Nepali प्रवीण खतिवडा ) is a Nepalese actor, director, and play writer. Born in Letang, Morang, Praween rose to prominence from the television series Singha Durbar. His first leading role in a film was in Uma.[1][2] He also appeared in the 2012 Nepali film Loot, Kalo Pothi, Dhuwani, and the 2012 film Saas Fere Jasto Lagcha.[3]

Theater career

Praween started his theater career from Sunil Pokharel's play "Agni ko Katha" (Story of fire) staged in Aarohan Gurukul. He played a role of "Monk Gyan" in the play which was his first as well as lead role. Praween earned praise from the viewers from his very first play. He worked with Sunil Pokharel, his teacher in many plays after "Agni ko Katha". He has been active in Drama direction in the recent days. "Hedda Gabler", "U kasko" e.t.c are the plays he directed.
