Prairie Crossing is a station on Metra's North Central Service in Libertyville, Illinois. The station is 43.4 miles (69.8 km) away from Union Station, the southern terminus of the line.[1] In Metra's zone-based fare system, Prairie Crossing is in zone H. Service to this station began in 1998. The extension of Midlothian Road in 2011 improved access to the station from the south.
The station also provides a connection to a station of the same name on the Milwaukee District / North Line.
