Pradeep Bashyal

Pradeep Bashyal (Nepali: प्रदीप बस्याल) is a journalist based in Kathmandu.[1] He is currently at Nepal Magazine [2] and has written for Washington Post,[3], Buzzfeed,[4] The Diplomat [5] among others. He is the recipient of the Nepal's extraordinary performance award for the year 2072 (2015–16).[6]

He is also known for co-producing the critically acclaimed documentary Looking The Un-eyed Way with Ankit Babu Adhikari and Kumar Paudel. The documentary featured Deurupa Pandey, a 75-year-old blind woman from a village in the hills of Syangja district, who lived alone creating wonders about herself.[7]
