The Portuguese Pirate Party (Portuguese: Partido Pirata Português) is a political movement, not officially recognised as a political party by the Portuguese Constitutional Court.[1] It is based on the model of the Swedish Pirate Party, it supports copyright and patent law reform, and privacy.[2]

Much like its Swedish counterpart, the PPP maintains a neutral or simply non-existent stance in all other political matters,[3] and can be considered a single-issue political movement.

The movement was founded on 12 May 2009,[4] and was a founding member of Pirate Parties International.[5]
