Plumbley is a hamlet in North East Derbyshire in the county of Derbyshire in England.
Location
Plumbley lies just north of the village of Marsh Lane, north-west of Eckington, west of Mosborough and around 3 miles south of the village of Ridgeway.[1]
History
The hamlet itself consists mainly of farmland, and historically farming along with sickle-smithing along the local brooks and streams would have been the main occupations in the area.
In the late 20th century there was a colliery in the hamlet.[2]
