Pirathon

Pirathon was an ancient town mentioned in the Bible. While some scholars speculate on its likely location, its exact whereabouts are not known.[1] However, it is known that the town was located in modern Israel, in the area once held by the Israelite tribe of Ephraim. The town is notable because one of King David's captains (or "mighty ones") originated there. Also, a leader of Biblical Israel, namely Abdon, made his home in this town.
