Piltdown, East Sussex

The Piltdown Man pub in Piltdown

Piltdown is a series of hamlets in East Sussex, England.[1] It is located south of Ashdown Forest.[1] It is best known for the Piltdown Man hoax.[1] It has a pub (was "The Piltdown Man", now "The Lamb"), a golf course and a vineyard.[1][2][3]

It is in Wealden District[4] and Fletching parish.[5]
