Pilocrocis purpurascens is a moth in the Crambidae family. It was described by Hampson in 1899.[1] It is found in Ecuador (Loja Province) and Trinidad.[2]

The wingspan is about 40 mm. The wings are dark fuscous with a purplish gloss. Both fore- and hindwings have faint traces of a discoidal spot and a postmedial line.[3]
