Joan Freeman (born 1958) is an Irish psychologist and founder of the Pieta House suicide prevention charity.[1][2] She was nominated to Seanad Éireann in May 2016.[3][4][5][6][7] She is closely associated with the Catholic hierarchy being a member of the Irish Catholic Bishops Commission on Social Affairs.[8]
