Phil Hansel
Phil Hansel (born Phillip Sand Hansel, February 18, 1925; died: August 6, 2010),[1] also known as Phill Hansel, was a swimming coach from the USA.
He was the swimming coach at the University of Houston for 39 years, from 1957-1998.[2] He also served as a coach or manager on two Olympic teams,[3] and helped found the American Swimming Coaches Association.[4]
He was named the Southwest Conference's Swimming Coach of the Year 3 times, in 1975, 1985 and 1986.
