Taeyeon concert chronology |
Persona[1] is the second concert tour overall and first Asia tour by South Korean singer Taeyeon. It was announced on April 7, 2017,[2] and began on May 12, 2017 at Olympic Hall, Seoul.[3] Persona is also the first Asia tour by a South Korean singer who is concurrently an active member of a girl group.
Concerts
Tickets for the shows in Seoul, Taipei, Bangkok and Hong Kong were sold out within minutes upon being made available for purchase.[4]
Seoul
The first three shows of the tour were held on May 12, 13 and 14, 2017 at Olympic Hall, Seoul to a total audience of 9,000.[3]
Taipei
Three shows were held on May 19, 20 and 21, 2017 at the Xinzhuang Gymnasium, Taipei to a total audience of 15,000. Tickets were reportedly sold out in 7 minutes. Persona was the first 3-night concert by a South Korean act, and the best selling concert by a female South Korean act in Taiwan.[3]
Bangkok
One show was held on May 28, 2017 at the Thunder Dome Stadium, Bangkok to an audience of 5,000. Tickets were reportedly sold out in 2 minutes.[5] Persona was the first concert by a female South Korean singer in Thailand.[6]
Hong Kong
Two shows were held on June 10 and 11, 2017 at the AsiaWorld–Expo, Hong Kong.[7] Initially only the first show was announced, but on May 8, 2017, a second date was added due to popular demand.
