The Beitou Refuse Incineration Plant (Chinese: 北投垃圾焚化廠; pinyin: Běitóu Lèsè Fénhuà Chǎng) is an incinerator in Zhoumei Borough, Beitou District, Taipei, Taiwan.[2]
History
The plant was originally established as the Shilin Refuse Incineration Plant on 1 July 1991. On 1 July 1995, the plant was renamed Beitou Refuse Incineration Plant and it was made a unit of the Department of Environmental Protection of the Taipei City Government.[3]
Technical details
The plant can treat 1,800 tons of garbage from the Taipei area per day.[4]
Facilities
The plant is equipped with an observation deck at an altitude of 116 meters.[3]
Transportation
The plant is accessible within walking distance southwest of Shipai Station of Taipei Metro.
