Paydiant is a cloud-based financial services company owned by Paypal. It provides solutions for merchants and banks, as well as for resellers and distributors, and point-of-sale and ATM providers. The company was incorporated in 2010 and is based in Auburndale, Massachusetts.
In 2011, Paydiant raised $7.6 million funding from North Bridge Venture Partners and General Catalyst Partners.[2] Paydiant received a funding of $12 million and $15 million in 2012 and 2013 respectively.[3][4][5]
Paydiant has provided mobile wallet platform for MCX whose members include many of the world's largest retailers including Walmart, Target, Sears, Wendy's, Exxon, CVS and many others.
In 2015, PayPal acquired Paydiant with a $280 million deal.[1][6]
