Parafluda is a genus of the jumping spiders found from Panama to Argentina. As of 2017, it contains only one species, Parafluda banksi.[1]
Name
The genus name is combined from Greek para "alongside" and the salticid genus Fluda (see also Pseudofluda). The species is named in honor of arachnologist Nathan Banks.
