Para ti con desprecio (Spanish for For you with contempt) is the third album by Mexican punk rock band Panda.[1] The album was released through the band's independent record label Movic Records, it was produced by Adrian Treviño and recorded between October 2004 and December 2004 and released in May 11th of the following year. The album is a major departure from the band's already established style of humorous lyrics mixed with a Pop Punk and Power Pop sound that had launched the band into domestic success. Following its release, the band came under fire from the media and general public due to accusations of plagiarism due to some of the songs of the album containing lyrics and bass and guitar riffs that belonged to songs from other mainstream punk bands such as MxPx, Green Day, Alkaline Trio, Fall Out Boy and others, primarily due to the track Miedo a las alturas (Fear of Heights) first verse and chorus being a literal translation and paraphrasing of the song It's not a fashion statement, it's a fucking death Wish by American Post-Hardcore punk band My Chemical Romance. Further controversy surrounding the album was due to their radical image and sound change, to the point of the band receiving the label of Emos. Despite the controversies received, the album was released to critical acclaim by newcomer fans and Latin American Music Critics, it reached top 5 and top 10 lists of Mexican music charts, it was a moderate commercial success and catapulted the band into mainstream success, especially in the United States and Europeans Countries, where the band had been previously unable to reach. The album's logo that was used in the album also became a precursor to the band's iconic "PXNDX" logo that would be used in every single one of their follow up albums.
