The Gagasan Sejahtera (English: "Ideas of Peace", abbrev: GS) is an informal coalition of opposition political parties in Malaysia. The coalition was formed initially as a Third Force on 16 March 2016, consisting of Pan-Malaysian Islamic Party (PAS) and Parti Ikatan Bangsa Malaysia (IKATAN)[1][2][3] and announced that it will be formally called Gagasan Sejahtera on 13 August 2016.[4][5][6][7] Pan-Malaysian Islamic Front (BERJASA) join the GS coalition on 23 September 2016.[8][9][10]
The main campaign of the alliance focuses mainly "on PAS political matters and uniting Malay muslims",[11] but the formation of this coalition brought derision by many critics from both the ruling Barisan Nasional coalition and the opposition Pakatan Harapan.[12][13][14]
