Pallapatti is a panchayat town in Karur district in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu.

As of Census 2011, population of Pallapatti is 30,624.[2] Males constitute 49% of the population and females 51%. Pallapatti has an average literacy rate of 82%, it is higher than the national average of 74.04%. In Pallapatti, 11% of the population is under 6 years of age. The main religion followed in Pallaptti is Islam.It is having 99% People of Muslims and Remaining 1% is of Hindus and Christians.People of Pallapatti are well known for establishing business and trade all over India.It is the 4th largest populous city/town in karur district with more than 40,000 people's in the city only next to Karur,Inam karur,Thanthoni. Nankanji river, a tributary of Amaravathi River, flows throught Pallapatti.

The highest temperature is obtained in early May to early June usually about 34 °C, though it rarely exceeds 38 °C for a few days. Average daily temperature during January is around 23 °C, though the temperature rarely falls below 17 °C.

The average annual rainfall is about 855 mm. The city gets most of its seasonal rainfall from the north-east monsoon winds, from late September to mid November.

Pallapatti cuisine is typical of south Indian cuisine, in that rice and rice-derived dishes form the major portion of a diet (see rice and curry). Pallapatti food is famous for ghee sweets made from gram flour(locally known as Cheru-Mittai, Mysore Pak) and Non Veg items like Briyani, Kal paya, Mutton Kurama, Thala kari, Avei Kari, and Fish varieties. Pallapatti mutton is very famous.
