Maurice Alter (born 1925/26) is an Australian billionaire property developer.[1]

Maurice Alter was born in Poland.[2] He emigrated to Australia after the First World War.[1]

Alter started his Pacific Group property development business in 1979, and it is active mostly in Victoria and South Australia, including the Werribee Plaza and Pacific Epping in Melbourne.[2]

Alter is Jewish,[3] and married with two children and lives in Melbourne, Australia.[1]
