Boquilobo Bog Natural Reserve

Boquilobo Bog Natural Reserve is a natural reserve in Portugal, located near Golegã.[1] The marshland between Tagus and Almonda River[1] is one of the 30 areas which are officially under protection in the country. UNESCO declared it to be a biosphere reserve.[2]

There are around 200 bird species found in the park, but the symbol of the park is the white heron.[3] The reserve is home to the largest number of white herons in the Iberian peninsula, and they are found there from February/March until the summer.
