Party People (play)

PARTY PEOPLE is a Play with music, conceived and created by UNIVERSES Theater (Steven Sapp, Mildred Ruiz-Sapp, William Ruiz), inspired by the American History and the legacies of revolutionary movements (Civil Rights movement/Black Power Movement) and the revolutionary groups of the time, namely The Black Panther Party and The Young Lords Organization/Party. PARTY PEOPLE was commissioned by / and premiering at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival a.k.a OSF (2012). It was further developed and Produced by Berkeley Repertory Theatre in 2014 and The Public Theater in 2016. Developed by Liesl Tommy. Composers: UNIVERSES, with Broken Chord Collective.
