Päijänne Tavastia (Finnish: Päijät-Häme; Swedish: Päijänne-Tavastland) is a region in Southern Finland south of the lake Päijänne. It borders the regions Uusimaa, Tavastia Proper, Pirkanmaa, Central Finland, Southern Savonia and Kymenlaakso. The biggest city in the region is Lahti.[1]
