OverDrive (TSN)

OverDrive is a sports radio show on TSN 1050 and on TSN2 in Canada. It is co-hosted by Bryan Hayes,[1] Jeff O'Neill, a former NHL hockey player for the Toronto Maple Leafs,[2] and Jamie McLennan,[3] a former NHL goaltender of eleven years. For the purposes of the show, they are described by the names Hayes, Noodles (Jamie), and the O-Dog (Jeff). The show covers a variety of sports from the perspective of the Toronto sports fan.[4] Regular contributors include Ray Ferraro, Craig Button, Darren Dreger, Pierre V. Lebrun and Bobby Margarita.

History

The show was formerly known as Leafs Lunch, which aired from noon until 2:00PM. On February 22, 2016, TSN 1050 introduced a revamped weekday lineup, where Andi Petrillo became host of Leafs Lunch, while Bryan Hayes, Jamie McLennan, and Jeff O'Neill became hosts of the new drive-time program from 4:00-7:00PM.[5]

Format

The show is a sports talk show for all sports, but is primarily focused on the Toronto Maple Leafs. The show has many segments including the "40/30 Grit Player of the Day", "Future Headlines", "Gerry's Percentages", and "Three Stars".[6]
