Ortiz Morales

Ortíz Morales, Jesús Manuel (born 24 January 1959) is a noise and experimental spanish composer. Alias: Ommalaga.

Professional career

Ortiz Morales & KinematikoM (2012)

Experimental and noise musician, audiovisual producer and academic researcher, with a relatively wide catalog of discs of sound experimentation. He has been director of the Contemporary Music of CSMM several years, director of the digital lab ATI-Gabirol Lab and founder of kinematic ensemble KinematikoM. Doctor in Audiovisual Communication, with specialization in the reconstruction of sonorous contexts of audiovisual synchronism futuristic and Dadá. Thesis on archeotechnology (El synchrociné de Charles Delacommune, UMA2012) and other on cinematic reconstructions (El ballet mecanique y el synchrociné, UMA2008). He has been professor int. in the superior Conservatories of Cordoba, Granada and Málaga (Harmony, Musical Forms and of Contemporary Music Workshops, respect.) Trajectory somewhat complex: first stage as a rock musician (groups Tabletom and Veneno), another as a symphonic and minimalist musician ( works with the young orchestra CSMM and late, with the Málaga Symphonic orchestra). And another, more dilated, from approx. 1998 to the present, in the styles of electroacoustic and, above all, noise and concrete music. Included by SGAE in the anthology of electroacoustic authors 2002-2003 for his work Kish . Independent producer since 1982 with the alternative production company Ommalaga Prod., dedicated to experimental media and means of popularization and musical pedagogy; some computer programs ( among others, the Rameau digital music encryption system ). He has performed works or tunings for various media such as RTVE series, RNE, RTVA, Canal SUR or Metro-Málaga. It has also developed works in reconstructive computer graphics. It is in possession of one of the prizes Eduardo Ocón of the Diputación de Málaga. From its initial stage, with works for the RCA, Nuevos Medios and CBS, perhaps the most remarkable are the albums Mezclalina , and Si tu, si yo . Of its recent stage, possibly the canonical reconstruction audiovisual of the film of 1924 Ballet mécanique.
