Orkney Football Club are a Scottish football team from Orkney, who compete in the North Caledonian Football League.

Club history

Orkney joined the North Caledonian Football League for the 2014–15 season, becoming the first non-mainland club in the league.
An impressive first season saw them finishing runners-up.
Orkney also won the Ness Cup - against Golspie Sutherland - in their debut season.[1]

Prior to their acceptance into the North Caledonian Football League, Orkney occasionally entered some of the league's cup competitions, but fixtures for the Orkney representative football team were infrequent.

They play an annual match against island neighbours, Shetland, for the Milne Cup. This was first contested in 1919.

Orkney have also competed in the Island Games - with the 2017 tournament marking their fourth appearance in the competition.
