Orhan Çelebi

Orhan Çelebi or Orkhan Shalabi (Born 1412, Died May 29, 1453) was a prince of the Ottoman Empire and had 4 sons over his lifetime: 'Ali Shah, Jahan Shah, Vali Khan, and Buga Khan.[1]

Life

Orhan was sent to Constantinople as a hostage and paid tribute to the Ottomans during his time there. He joined the defense of the Byzantine Empire during the Fall of Constantinople with about 600 Ottoman defectors[2] by his side.[3]

Death

After the city had fallen Orhan was caught and executed while trying to leave.[4]
