Onofre is a genus of jumping spiders from Brazil (family Salticidae) with three described species.[1]
Taxonomy
The genus Onofre was erected in 2007 for a new group of salticids found in the Amazon basin, related to the genus Chira. Three species were described from the states of Mato Grosso and Pará. The generic name is a common man's name in Brazil.[2]
