OneSavings Bank plc is a British banking company. It is listed on the London Stock Exchange and is a constituent of the FTSE 250 Index.

History

The company was established as Kent Reliance in 1847.[2] On 1 February 2011, and following a substantial capital investment by J.C. Flowers & Co., Kent Reliance Building Society was transferred to a new financial entity, OneSavings Bank: the transfer was approved by the members of the society in November 2010.[3] The business was the subject of an initial public offering in May 2014.[4]

In August 2012 the company acquired InterBay Commercial, a specialist commercial and buy to let mortgage lender, established in 2006.[5] In September 2012 the company acquired Prestige Finance, a specialist provider of secured loans.[6]

In April 2014 the company established Heritable Development Finance, a joint venture with Heritable Capital, formed to provide financing predominantly for residential property developments for experienced property developers.[7] In December 2015 the company established Rochester Mortgages to acquire the mortgage book of a subsidiary of Deutsche Bank.[8]
