Ollie Keller began his coaching career at Halls High School followed by two years at his high school alma mater, Maryville High School. Ollie spent the next ten years coaching at Memphis Catholic (1957-1967), which was a perennial football powerhouse. His next coaching move was an assistant at Iowa State University under Coach Johnny Majors followed by returning to Memphis State as an assistant. Ollie Keller was the fifth head football coach for Northeast Louisiana University located in Monroe, Louisiana and he held that position for four seasons, from 1972 until 1975. His coaching record at Northeast Louisiana was 14 wins, 24 losses, and 3 ties. He retired from Tennessee State Government.
Playing career
Maryville High School - All State, University of Tennessee 1950 and 1951 National Championship Team. Transferred to Memphis State Tigers football- 1952 and 1953. Team Captain and Selected Memphis State Athletic Hall of Fame.
