Ozy (magazine)

Ozy (styled OZY) is an international online magazine that focuses on news, arts, culture, politics, business and sports. Ozy was launched in September 2013 by former MSNBC news anchor, journalist, and businessman Carlos Watson.[1][2][3] Ozy's headquarters is in Mountain View, California, and it also has an office in New York City.

Ozy's employees come from diverse backgrounds that include Yahoo!, Vice, USA Today, Goldman Sachs, CNN and more. Former Senior Editor Aneesh Raman was a CNN reporter and former speechwriter for President Barack Obama.

Structure

There are 12 types of Ozy stories:

Investment

Ozy has received financing from Laurene Powell Jobs, widow of Steve Jobs and a leading advocate for immigration and education reform; the angel investor Ron Conway; and David C. Drummond, Google's chief legal officer. The magazine received a small investment from global media company Axel Springer AG.[4]
