The O-class was a class of four trams. Built by Duncan & Fraser, Adelaide for the Prahran & Malvern Tramways Trust, they were sold in 1916 to the Hawthorn Tramways Trust (HTT) as 21-24. All passed to the Melbourne & Metropolitan Tramways Board (MMTB) on 2 February 1920 when it took over the HTT becoming the O-class and being renumbered 127-130. In 1927 all were sold to the Municipal Tramways Trust, Adelaide as 191-194.[1][2]

Built with 54 seats, this was decreased to 49 when an aisle was cut through five of the six crossbench seats. Initially used on the Wattle Park route, the MMTB transferred them to Glenhuntly depot and for use on the Brighton East line.[1]
