Numerix is an American limited liability company that develops software for risk analysis of financial derivatives. The company was founded by Alexander Sokol, Nigel Goldenfeld, Mitchell Feigenbaum and Michael Goodkin in 1996 and is headquartered in New York City with eighteen offices worldwide.

It received a major investment from Greg Whitten who invested an additional USD 32 million in 2001.[4]

Numerix provides software for financial services companies that analyzes the risk associated with various types of assets, including derivatives. Approximately 400 clients in 25 different countries use software developed by Numerix for risk analysis.[5] Customers include the Nomura Research Institute, Bloomberg L.P., RiskVal, MathWorks, Markit etc.[6] Markit have academic partnership with academic institutions in US like Baruch College, Rutgers University, University of Chicago, University of California - Berkeley and across the globe like Fudan University - China, University of Technology - Sydney, and Hong Kong University of Science & Technology.[7]
